This book is a great, inspiring, quick read. It gives us all a realistic glimpse into what America will look like if our nation doesn't turn back to God and repent.
Well written and surprises as you never know what's going to happen next! It's a beautifully written look into end times. I love how the author integrates the Word into this work of fiction.
This was a great follow up to Donovan's Law. It is a quick read and I wasn't able to put it down. The correlation between biblical prophecy and current events are evident and anyone with a modicum of interest in the subject will enjoy this book thoroughly.
My husband and I both loved this sequel…the author was extremely accurate in describing it with, "Buckle up your emotional seatbelt for a rollercoaster ride into the future." It was difficult to put down and not continue to think about our future here…thank goodness for the final chapter! Very well written!
I had the unique opportunity to read SOUL SURVIVOR while it was still in manuscript form. And though end times storylines are not my genre of choice, I read it at the request of the author. While reading the manuscript, I remember being extremely impressed with the fast pace and intensity of the story. Now that SOUL SURVIVOR has been released, I read it again to refresh my memory in order to give it a fair review. And once again, I was blown away at how well the author maintained the momentum of the story throughout the entire book. The way Mayhew’s incorporates Biblical prophecy and makes it feel so disconcertingly real keeps you turning page after page. On more than one occasion I found myself wondering ‘what if’. A great follow-up to DONOVAN’S LAW.
This book is a sequel to Donovan's Law released last year. Rick Mayhew, the Chief Officer and Chaplain for the fire service in southern California, is also a Chaplain for Victim Relief Ministries, an organization that responds to national disasters. Soul Survivor is a futuristic view of the Biblical end times.

Donovan Law lies in a coma, kept alive with machines. Special Agent David Roberts and Sergeant Rebecca Moises, members of the Specialized Terrorist Task Force, have been assigned the duty of taking down all the Christian terrorist cells.

One man, called The Phoenix, has assumed control of the world, but suddenly he is killed by one of these terrorist cells. The world mourns and the Task Force vows revenge.

One problem is that Agent Roberts has become mysteriously unreliable. Agent Moises might have to replace him. There's one local policeman, Detective Ken Lunnon, who is particularly good looking. She thinks he would make the perfect replace, but there's one vital thing she doesn't know about him.
Mayhew effectively creates a sense of urgency for the reader to recognize the signs of the age and consider who in our lives needs to hear the message of hope his characters are willing to sacrifice everything for to share. How far would I go to do the same? I enjoy fictional books that leave me asking myself introspective questions and challenge my cozy paradigms. Soul Survivor did that for me.
